MB8 Coin FAQ

Hi,

Thanks for the question.

You can use the Backup Feature in the QT Wallet to take a backup of the wallet.dat file, this you can then pop on a USB Drive and take it home. When you install the QT on your Home computer you will be asked do you want to set up a new wallet or use an existing file, simply choose the file and the wallet will be restored to your Home Computer

Hi,

Thanks for the question.

The MB8 Coin team always recommend encrypting your QT Wallet for enhanced security, however the functionality of the QT Wallet works perfectly fine without Encryption.

Hi

Thanks for the question.

The backup is around 100kb so less than 1mb. It doesn’t take up very much space as all the data for your wallet is stored on the Blockchain Network, all you are storing is your key to get back in to your wallet on the Blockchain Network.

Hi

Thanks for the question.

Your backup will only need to be taken once, as all the transactions and coins are stored on the blockchain. You are only backing up your private key which allows the blockchain to verify it is you requesting access to that wallet stored on the network.

Thanks for the question.

The download is typically located in your Downloads folder found in windows.

If you loose the mb8coinqt.exe that you downloaded, you may download another copy from the downloads section at mb8coin.io this will not overwrite any of you previous installed QT Wallets.

Staking is built on the MB8 Coin Blockchain and is not effected by the Exchange Listings. You can start staking your MB8 Coins by downloading a QT Wallet, visit our downloads section for more info.

The coins have to stay in the QT-Wallet for at least 3 hours, before they qualify for Staking. This is also called maturing or matured coins.

You can stop staking by simply closing the QT Wallet on your computer, when you next open your MB8 Coin QT Wallet staking will auto start.

This means these coins are locked for spending while they are being staked. Once they are returned with the stake reward they are available to transfer. This process is automatic and does not require any action from yourself.
